Curriculum Vitae Steffen Ormanns

Steffen Ormanns is a board-certified pathologist. He studied medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich, Germany, where he also completed his residency, earned his doctorate, and attained his habilitation at the Institute of Pathology. Following his appointment to the professorship of pathology and molecular pathology at the Medical University of Innsbruck, he assumed the leadership of the Institute of General Pathology.

In a diagnostic capacity, he currently serves as a senior consultant at INNPATH GmbH (Tirol Kliniken). There, he is responsible for the diagnostic departments of gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary pathology, as well as soft tissue and bone pathology, and the immunohistochemistry laboratory.

His research primarily focuses on malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract, the hepatopancreatobiliary system, and urological neoplasms.
