George Tiniakos Award: Dr. med. Michael Günther was honored with the prestigious “George Tiniakos Award” by the European Society of Pathology (ESP). This international prize was awarded at the 2025 ESP Congress in Vienna for the best free-paper presentation in the field of Gastrointestinal, Liver and Pancreatobiliary Pathology.

Paper Award: Dr. med. Michael Günther was awarded with ‘Best young investigator award’ from the Comprehensive Cancer Center Innsbruck (CCCI).

MUI-Lehrpreis: Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bettina Zelger was recognized with the MUI Teaching Award 2025. She received this honor in the category of “Excellence in Examination Design,” highlighting her commitment to high-quality, fair, and pedagogically sound assessment for medical students.
